Student Resources
Welcome Students!

"Everyone says the world needs more leaders. The catch is the world needs them, but action begins at a smaller level. Today, I am excited to be working on a project which will enable this action to happen in the mostly rural state of Idaho. A Student Advisory Committee, which has already been implemented into other areas of the country, is now coming to Idaho. Juniors will apply and spend their senior year building this program with IHSAA, which will not only benefit statewide athletics and participation, but allow the youth to build leadership skills which are heavily needed in a career. Juniors wanting to apply should also know this will open up a lot more opportunities, as being on the committee would mean more interaction with people like you from around the state and country. The Student Advisory Committee will most certainly allow students, who see the impact of the IHSAA at a personal level, to improve this scope of impact, something which is especially important in the competitiveness of high school sports/activities and with the current decline of school spirit." - Haily Shigeta, Fruitland HS

Being a part of the IHSAA Student Advisory Committee will allow dedicated Idaho students to give their perspective for Idaho activities and make a difference! Anyone looking to increase their involvement with sports and other activities should absolutely apply!    - Virginia Monk, Genesee HS

What is the IHSAA Student Advisory Committee?

The SAC is a diverse group of students who participate in interscholastic athletics/activities and are focused on providing education and leadership through open and honest communication with all member school students, administrators and coaches.  The committee serves as a liaison between students, administrators, the IHSAA Staff and Board of Directors.  The Student Advisory Committee promotes the ideals of the IHSAA, including leadership, sportsmanship and integrity.
