The mission of the Idaho High School Activities Association is to coordinate, supervise, and direct interscholastic activities which enhance and protect the total educational process of all student participants. All activities programs shall be formulated to promote citizenship and the academic mission of the school.

Classification Proposals

The IHSAA Classification Committee was established by the Board of Directors to:
* Receive all recommendations and proposals on classification/representation from member schools.
* Thoroughly and thoughtfully review, deliberate on, and critique all concerns, complaints, and recommendations on classification issues and proposals.
* Disseminate pertinent information concerning classification proposals to the Board of Directors and member schools, including but not limited to:
  1. IHSAA guidelines, concerns and directives
  2. Superintendent concerns, issues, and directives
  3. Legislative concerns and issues
  4. State Board of Education concerns and issues
  5. Conference/ league concerns and issues
  6. Classification concerns and issues
  7. All other information that may be useful when considering classifications and representations.
* Develop and/or make recommendations to the IHSAA Board of Control and member schools on classification and representation proposals and issues.
